Coaching Certification Requirements
Ready to undergo the process of obtaining your Inside Out Coaching Certification?
Here’s everything you need to know.
Stage 1
Attend a minimum of 10 (out of 12) live Inside Out Fundamentals training sessions.
Watch the recordings of any sessions you have missed.
Attend at least 12 x 90-minute practice Dojos.
Watch 100% of the video curriculum.
Stage 2
Complete a coaching log with 50 hours (40 hours as a coach and 10 hours being coached).
Complete a Case Study - Four sessions with one client.
Record and upload two 15-20-minute coaching sessions
Complete a 500-word self-reflection journal.
Upload the completed accreditation pack to your private Google Drive folder.
Complete your first optional supervision session.
Stage 3
Complete your second supervision session in preparation for the certification. (optional*)
Complete an open-book online exam or long-form paper (contact us for long-form paper).
Register on this page and pay an AU $150 certification fee.
Attend a live coaching assessment in front of our certification panel.
FAQs
How long do I have to complete my certification?
We require you to complete the certification within 12 months of completing the coaching course.
If you choose to resit a coaching course with Primal Intelligence, the 12-month countdown starts again.

What can I include in the Coaching Log?
You can include sessions with people or other students (outside of course/dojo times); attendance at Dojo sessions after completion of the live course; attendance at the Coaching Room (up to 3 hours from 6 visits); coaching sessions you receive from the training team or our certified coaches; and, supervision sessions.
You cannot include practice sessions undertaken during the live course or attendance at Dojo sessions while attending the course.
What is the value of Supervision?
Supervision with a mentor is optional and highly recommended; supervision provides an opportunity to:
Work through any personal and professional challenges you are facing in your coaching practice;
Help refine your approach and application of coaching principles;
Deconstruct coaching sessions to receive feedback to understand what you do well and what could have been done differently;
Work through and receive advice about ethical issues relating to coaching practice.

For the first 12 months, supervision towards your certification costs $150/session. After that, the standard cost is $250/session.
When is the next certification panel?
Certification panels are scheduled three times a year; contact us to determine when the next panel is.
The Live Assessment
The live assessment is the final part of being certified as an Inside Out Therapeutic Coach.
The live assessment is similar to what you know as a fishbowl coaching session.
In order to qualify for the live assessment, you must complete all requirements as outlined above.
The Live assessment fee is $150
The assessment is conducted online via Primal Intelligence’s Zoom.
The assessment takes approximately 40 minutes.
You must invite a client to sit in session with you for your live assessment.
The client can not be a family member or a good friend
The client can be someone you have coached before (this often helps the client be familiar with the coaching model).
The client will be there for 25-40 minutes.
The examiners will witness the live assessments, and all information will be kept strictly confidential.
After the assessment, you will receive feedback from the examiners, and based on that, you will be advised whether you are ready to be certified or not yet.

If you are certified, you will receive your Certified Inside Out Coach certificate via email within 7 days.
